Longarm Quilting Services

There are several longarm machine quilters who use our shop as a convenient drop-off/pick-up location for their customers. Some of them have samples and forms in our shop, but none of them are employees or contractors of Quilting Adventures. We recommend all of them. If you want to see samples of their work, look around the shop at the shop samples; they are all labeled as to who quilted them. Unfortunately, we can not quote prices or make any other commitments for them. Please contact them directly for more information.

Quilts for Richmond Charity Project

- Every Second and Fourth Tuesday, 6-8 PM
- First Saturday of the month, 10-1

In the summer of 2005, quilters around the country sent quilts to various projects that were distributing quilts to survivors from Hurricane Katrina. Quilting Adventures, with much help from many volunteers, sent 67 completed quilts to surivors of Hurricane Katrina. As the distribution warehouses closed down, we morphed our shop project from Quilts for Katrina to Quilts for Richmond.

We do not need fabric donations, but we do need volunteers. The second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, we are working on quilts to donate to local Richmond area charities. At this point, I've lost count of how many quilts we've donated - well over 100! - but each and every one is going to someone who truly appreciates it.

Even if you can't join us, we have other jobs to do - kits of squares to sew together, bindings to finish - please just ask!

9th Annual Central Virginia Tour de Quilt

Please get a group of friends together and join us for a long weekend of fun! This is the ninth year of Central Virginia's Quilt Shop Hop. At the first shop you visit, pick up your passport. Have it stamped at each of the shops, and be sure to turn it in at the last shop. You will then be entered to win one of our great prizes (see below). Each shop will display their unique quilt designed using this year's Tour de Quilt fabrics. Shops will also feature a small project highlighting their assigned fabric with free instructions for you!

All shops have special, extended hours the weekend of the tour: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM Sunday.

There are door prizes at every shop, so even if you don't complete the Tour, you can still win!
